The Ocean Impact Range
We develop five material streams – for your applications and the future of our oceans.
We develop material streams and applications.
We supply post-consumer recycled plastics (PCR), recycled yarns and seaweed-based materials for industrial applications.
Recycled PA6 – Fishing Nets (Natural)
Post-consumer recycled (PCR) PA6 pellets made by mechanical recycling from end-of-life fishing nets sourced from China and Taiwan.
Recycled PA6 – Fishing Nets (Green)
Green post-consumer recycled (PCR) PA6 (nylon 6) pellets made from end-of-life fishing nets, with MFI 22. This unreinforced grade offers a green material option.
Recycled PP – Fishing Gear (Yarn Grade)
Post-consumer recycled (PCR) PP pellets made from end-of-life fishing ropes for yarn production. This yarn grade is a pellet feedstock, not finished polypropylene yarn.
Recycled PA6 – Fishing Nets (Yarn Grade Bright)
Post-consumer recycled (PCR) PA6 (nylon 6) pellets made from end-of-life fishing nets for Bright yarn production. This is a pellet grade, not finished yarn.
Recycled PA6 – Fishing Nets (Yarn Grade Full-Dull)
Post-consumer recycled (PCR) PA6 (nylon 6) pellets made from end-of-life fishing nets for Full-Dull yarn production. This is a pellet grade, not finished yarn.
Recycled PP – Fishing Gear Natural MFI 32
Natural post-consumer recycled (PCR) PP pellets made from end-of-life fishing ropes, with MFI 32. Share your processing requirements for assessment against the corresponding TDS.
Recycled PP – Fishing Gear Green MFI 3–4
Green post-consumer recycled (PCR) PP pellets made from end-of-life fishing ropes, with MFI 3–4. Share your processing requirements for assessment against the corresponding TDS.
Recycled HDPE Ocean-Bound Blue MFI 3–5
Blue post-consumer recycled (PCR) ocean-bound HDPE pellets with MFI 3–5 provide a defined colour and melt-flow range for material selection. Manufacturers can evaluate this grade for polyethylene products where a blue base colour is required.
Recycled Nylon (PA6) Yarn from Fishing Nets & Ropes
Finished nylon 6 yarn made from end-of-life fishing nets and ropes. Available in 30–100D for weaving, knitting and technical-textile projects. Request specifications and samples for your application. Made with post-consumer recycled (PCR) feedstock.
Recycled Polyester (PET) Yarn from Ocean-Bound Bottles
Finished polyester yarn made from recovered ocean-bound PET bottles. Available in 30–180D for weaving, knitting and technical-textile projects. Request specifications and samples for your application. Made with post-consumer recycled (PCR) feedstock.
Seaweed Coatings & Coated Kraft Paper
Seaweed-based coating for packaging development. Environmental and end-of-life performance depend on the formulation, finished package and disposal route.
Seaweed Flexible Films
Seaweed flexible packaging films provide a formulated film option for wrappers, window packaging and pouch development. This listing concerns the film, not raw seaweed or an automatically compostable, edible or food-safe finished package.

The Ocean Material Difference
We make ocean impact circular – transparently, locally and at industrial scale.
- Ocean impact first. Always
- Built with coastal communities
- Industry ready by design
- Technology that stays ahead

Technology that unlocks new material streams
Explore the Waste-to-Product (W2P) approach to using plastic residue streams in industrial products, with potential applications such as panels and components.
Every application starts with specific material and product requirements. Talk to us about your residue stream or product idea to discuss what needs to be assessed.
Trusted by impact partners, engineering leaders & global brands
We collaborate with recyclers, engineering partners, universities, impact programmes and leading brands, bringing together expertise in sourcing, certification, processing and technology.
Ocean Material impresses us with the reliable quality of its PA6 + glass fibre compounds and its collaborative approach. Fast, straightforward communication makes working together particularly enjoyable.
Technical Purchase, FIDLOCK GmbH
Ocean Material helps Umbra take meaningful steps towards cleaner oceans by introducing more sustainable materials into our product range. Together, we are turning end-of-life fishing gear into innovative household solutions that blend function and personality.
VP, Global Product Development, Umbra
Ocean Material combines a deep understanding of circular economy and feedstock streams with the ability to develop practical, technically sound product solutions. Their materials expertise, pragmatic approach and collaborative way of working make them a particularly valuable partner for us.
CEO | Board Chair, Gimelli Engineering AG
Working with Ocean Material aligns closely with our objective of advancing circular solutions for complex secondary material streams. For polymers recovered from decommissioned subsea cables, scientific characterization and application-oriented approaches can help enable meaningful, high-value reuse.
CREM / TUHH
Ocean Material makes recycling practical and brings people along the way. In the Philippines, their education and local engagement work turns complex waste and recycling challenges into something people can understand, take part in and act on.
